One more question to add to those of the previous poster:
How well does it work for reading books? Can you have multiple books loaded at once? How long does it take to load a book length file from the secure digital card?
I bought a Nokia E90 some time ago and sent it back, in part because the word proessor could only hold one book at a time, and loading took about ten minutes, making it unusable for one of the things I use a pda or pda phone for.

First, reading books on the M800 is nice because of the high resolution (VGA @ 2,8" = 160 dpi).

Regarding the load times etc: it depends on the program used to read e-books. There are plenty of e-book readers for pocket pc. I personally use mobipocket reader
http://www.mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/...e=WindowsMobile
Books - no matter how many pages - are loaded almost instantly (really don't know why the NOKIA would need that long for it). Once started, you have to choose your e-book (which can be stored on sd or internal memory) from the index. If you want to read another book, just bookmark the current page of the book you're reading and go back to the index, choosing another one.
As far as I know, mobipocket is able to read some formats, if in doubt, e-books can be converted with the desktop application: http://www.mobipocke...sp?View=Desktop

Thanks for the information.
I normally read books using a word processor, since I am sometimes also editing, or at least marking things for later revision, if the book is a manuscript of mine. Can the word processor--I assume it's pocket word--hold multiple books at once? How fast does it load?

Hmm... tested out the included Pocket Word for word processing and viewing, and it has long loading times for an ~ 390 pages book. So you're only fine if you just want to read, but editing longer scripts/books seems to be limited in general, maybe because of the processing power of such devices. Pocket Word also can hold only one book at a time, and needs a considerably time for the 390 pages (~7 minutes). However, I've tried none of the further available word processors... so I don't know if they are faster.
I would say, an ASUS ee pc would fit your needs more in this case.

Thanks.
My Nokia 9300 works fine for this purpose, aside from having a smaller screen than I want. It can have lots of books loaded at a time. The eee is very cute, but it isn't small enough to carry with me all the time like a pda or smartphone--and I already have a laptop.
I expect the situation is the same for all the MS based smartphones--don't know why Symbion can do so much better. If I end up getting one it might be worth looking at alternative software.
